We really wanted to like this place. When you walk in, the restaurant is smaller than expected, but the ambiance is so inviting and beautiful. We ordered a salad and a salmon pasta. The salad was large enough to share and delicious. Unfortunately the pasta was extremely salty (the sauce was delicious, but the noodles tasted like they had been soaking in a salt bath all day). When we brought it to their attention, the cook staff said that even if they remade it, it would taste the same. The waitress seemed annoyed that we would voice our concern about the food. At the end we ordered crème brûlée which was scrumptious. However, when we were paying for the tab, we noticed the receipt had “house bread” listed, which we did not receive. Apparently everyone is supposed to get bread before the meal. I asked the waitress and she seemed surprised that we did not get bread. She told us, “you weren’t charged for it”. Granted, the point was the inattention to detail. We were there on a Monday evening, not a lot of tables. We just expected much better service (and food) based on reviews.

Amazing experience at Basilico Eastlake. The atmosphere was immediately inviting. The salads, pizzas and even the crème brûlée were exceptional! Maria was genuinely attentive! Highly recommend and will return.

My friend and I stopped by Basilica during the week for a lunch date, and we had a wonderful experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and they were very accommodating with my order by allowing a sauce substitution, which I really appreciated. The sangria was excellent—perfectly balanced, not too sweet and not too tart. We also tried the tiramisu, and it was fantastic. A special shoutout to our server, Sofia. She was professional, attentive, and very respectful throughout our meal. What stood out most was her awareness of our table—she kept an eye on our drinks and brought refills when needed, but she was also thoughtful enough not to interrupt our conversations. That level of service made the experience even more enjoyable. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing lunch date, and we left very impressed with both the food and the service. We’ll definitely be back!

UPDATE: Spoke with the owner and the manager. They were very appreciative of the feedback and took it as a learning experience to improve their customer service. Even offered us a meal. Which we declined. The dedication to improve the customer experience earned then the fifth star! We wish you and your business tremendous growth and success! ORIGINAL: Had a great dinner with friends at Basilico! The ambiance is very nice, and the wait staff and hostess were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious—and definitely save room for dessert because the portions are huge! I highly recommend the tiramisù. ​The only downside was that the manager in charge was a bit overbearing, intrusive, and kept interrupting our conversation. Aside from that, it was a wonderful meal and we'd definitely go back for the food!

We went for dinner for our second time, tried a new salad and a pizza this time. We were able to do a half and half pizza of the New York ( all meats) and Rucola Prosciutto pizza. We started off with the Messina salad: Romaine lettuce, artichokes, salami, feta cheese, prosciutto, bell peppers. and sun-dried tomato vinaigrette. ( I just wish it had a little more dressing). Good portion size for maybe 3 people. Very impacted with flavor! Love the atmosphere and the knowledge of the staff on the menu. Management is very welcoming! Can’t wait to go back for round 3!
